Empowering Recovery, rebuilding community.

The KANA Peer Support Program is a culturally driven initiative tailored to Kodiak area residents who are seeking assistance in their recovery journey. We understand the importance of culturally sensitive support, and our team is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for your recovery needs.

Our team is made up of Cultural Peer Support Specialists who have been specially trained and have personal lived experience with substance use disorders or mental health challenges. They are passionate about helping others and are committed to guiding you through your recovery journey.

We follow the White Bison Wellbriety Movement curriculum, which incorporates indigenous wisdom and cultural teachings into the recovery process. Our Cultural Peer Support Specialists provide a range of services, including:

Waitlist Support: Get on the path to support immediately while you wait for your scheduled appointment.

In-Clinic Services: One-on-one sessions with our specialists in a safe and confidential environment.

Call-Based Assistance: Reach out for support whenever you need it, over the phone.

Village-Based Services: We understand the unique challenges faced by remote communities, and we’re here to help.

Every Monday at 3pm, we host “Island Strong” – a Zoom event open to all Kodiak area residents. It’s a space where individuals can connect, share, and find strength in community. Join us to lean on and support each other in your recovery journey.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards recovery or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here for you.
