KANA Elder Services and the Kodiak Island Borough are bringing the second annual Property Tax Exemption visits to Kodiak Island villages.

If you will be 65 or older by January 1, 2026, or are a qualifying Disabled Veteran, you can apply for your property tax exemption in person, right in your own community.

• Returning Seniors: Bring your forms (we can print one if you don’t have yours).
• New Seniors: Bring two forms of photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, Tribal ID card*, passport, etc.). We’ll bring your form.
• Returning Disabled Veterans: Bring your forms (we can print if needed) plus your 2025 disability rating letter, showing a rating of 50% (or more). This is a requirement for all Veterans regardless of permanent disability or not.
• New Disabled Veterans: Bring two forms of photo ID and your disability rating letter dated in 2025, showing a rating of 50% (or more).

All visits are weather dependent.

Tribal ID cards with a photo are accepted.*
