A Joint Effort for community health in the koniag region


The 2024 Kodiak Arctic Care mission, held from May 5-22, united a dynamic team of military and community partners to deliver essential health services to the residents of Kodiak and surrounding villages. This mission exemplified the power of collaboration, showcasing how coordinated efforts can significantly impact community well-being while enhancing military readiness. Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) initiatives like Kodiak Arctic Care are designed to provide critical health services, foster civil-military partnerships, and improve the readiness of service members.

During the mission, the team conducted a total of 2,101 encounters and performed 6,540 procedures across various services, with the fair market value of these services totaling $633,938.
