Christopher Pruitt

My name is Christopher Pruitt, son of Trish and Steve Pruitt, the grandson of Barbara and Joe Hochmuth, and great-grandson of Clyda Norell Christensen. I have two beautiful children; Collin and Emma Pruitt. I serve on the Sun’aq Board of Directors as Vice-Chair.

As a lifelong Kodiak resident with deep family roots in the community, I am passionate about contributing to the well-being of our people. My diverse professional background, including my current role as Technology Manager and Tribal Liaison for the Kodiak Island Housing Authority, has equipped me with a unique skill set that I believe would be valuable to the KANA Board.

I am particularly drawn to KANA’s mission To Elevate the Quality of Life of the People We Serve.  It is so important to empower the Kodiak Native community through culturally relevant programs and services. I have seen firsthand the positive impact that KANA has had on the lives of countless individuals and families in our region, and I am eager to be a part of its continued growth and success.

With my experience in leadership, technology, and community outreach, I am confident in my ability to make meaningful contributions to the KANA Board. I am eager to collaborate with other board members to develop and implement strategies that will further strengthen KANA’s impact on the Kodiak community.
