The purpose of this webinar is to educate Alaska’s veterans and their caregivers about the benefits they earned through their honorable military service that are available through the State and Federal Government, and how to access those benefits.
Verdie Bowen has served as the State Director of Veterans Affairs since 2009. A retired Airforce veteran, Verdie has a mastery of all benefits offered by the State of Alaska and Federal Government, with a keen knowledge of how to navigate these systems to receive the maximum benefits due.
Mercedes Angerman has worked in veterans education for more than 25 years. Serving as the States authority by directing the Alaska State Approving Agency within the State Office of Veterans Affairs, Mercedes assists veterans through all aspects of the educational process.
